Introducing "multi-page" technology for publishing two-dimensional information

For Immediate Release:
Sergiy V. Beloy, MSc. in information management,
March 14, 2002

Sergiy Beloy, IT consultant, introduces new formats and ready-to-use supporting tools for publishing "two-dimensional" information in simple HTML and JavaScript. This is a further extension to the family of 2D-info Space's products.

The open file format called 'multi-page' describes structure and name convention for files, used for presenting two-dimensional data in simple HTML and JavaScript. The resulting framework can be used for integrating multiple versions (views) of the same document. The format called 'multi-book' allows integrating 'multi-pages' (or conventional HTML documents) into one package.
Unlike previously introduced '2D-information' format, the new ones do not require installed Java runtime environment. The only requirement for readers is to have a JavaScript-enabled browser (e.g., Netscape Communicator or MS Internet Explorer).

The 2D-infoPad is a cross-platform Java application, which allows developing two-dimensional data in 'multi-page' format. It consists of the following: simple word Pad and HTML Editor, two-dimensional Processor, and 'multi-page' Generator.
In essense, the 2D-infoPad extends the class of conventional text processors like MS Notepad, by providing a support for processing data in two "dimensions". Supported formats: *.html, *.txt, multi-page (JavaScript application).
